Google Earth Cache File Forensics
DoD Cyber Crime Conference, 2010
Google Earth is an exceptional tool for viewing the Earth and stars. It's used by human rights groups, government agencies, scientists, ordinary citizens, and of course, criminals. The cache files saved by this program record a wealth of information about which areas of the planet were viewed. This talk will explore some of the features of Google Earth and explain some methods of conducting forensics on the program. The end result is a detailed picture of what the user was viewing.
